Thank you!

After so many months...we're coming back!
(Covid/Omicron update: Due to the rise in cases, Canticus has postponed our first rehearsal until February 1 at which time we will reevaluate the situation.  Our March 6th concert "Songs of Hope" has been postponed until May 22nd.)
CANTICUS VOCAL ENSEMBLE has suffered, like so many arts groups, from the disastrous ravages of the Covid-19 virus and its many variants that we are experiencing now.  We are hoping to get back to what we love in the new year, namely performing quality choral music for our audiences and ourselves.  It has been too long.  Barring any further delays, Canticus hopes to begin rehearsals in January in preparation for our "Songs of Hope" Concert, needed now more than ever.  The planned date is May 22nd, 4:00pm at Englewood Christian Church in Yakima.  The program will feature new and original choral music commissioned by Canticus specifically for this concert.  Music by Vijay Singh, Daniel Schreiner and Chris Wallitner has been composed for this concert and will present the world premiers of these new works.

Last year, CVE received a generous CARES grant from the Washington State Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts in the amount of $4,000.00.  Thanks to both organizations, Canticus Vocal Ensemble was able to meet expenses and plan for our next season!

We are also very pleased to announce that Jane and Roger Finch have donated to a matching grant from State Farm Insurance.  Jane is the president of the CVE Board and she and her husband, Roger, work for State Farm.  We want to take this opportunity to extend or gratitude for their generosity!  Thank you, Jane and Roger!
